Individuals with neurogenic bladder lack bladder control. This condition often accompanies trauma, diseases that affect nervous system, accidents, spinal surgeries, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, spinal-cord injuries, central nervous system tumors, spinal congenital abnormalities and heavy metal poisoning. Underactive bladder may be a complication of diseases such as syphilis, diabetes, and polio.
